Age here means time since the company's legal entity was incorporated, read from the Companies House register. 743 of the 759 companies on the map have a date. This note compares the 6 sectors with 20 or more of them.

The youngest is AI: the median AI company was incorporated 5 years ago, against 8 years for all 743 dated companies. The oldest of the 6 is Fintech, at 9 years.
